John Landesman
Director
John Landesman assists communities around the country to develop dialogue-to-change programs. He was formerly Everyday Democracy's director of community assistance, overseeing a team that works with 200 communities to give them the tools to recruit diverse participants, find solutions, and work for action and change. John is also the Director of Study Circles for the Montgomery County Public Schools Study Circles Program where he develops study circle programs to help parents, students, and school personnel work together to close the achievement gap in the school system.
Prior to coming to Everyday Democracy, John was associate director for the InterReligious Council of Central New York where he coordinated an on-going community-wide dialogue program on ending racism and improving racial healing. His program won the Freedom Award from the NAACP of Syracuse.
